Professor Samuel Agyei-Ampomah

Professor Samuel Agyei-Ampomah is an accomplished academic, finance executive, and corporate governance
expert with more than three decades of international experience spanning finance, risk management, governance,
and higher education leadership.
He currently serves as Rector of Fanaka International University College and previously held the position of
Professor of Finance and Dean at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), where
he held senior leadership roles and contributed to institutional strategy, governance, and financial management.
Professor Agyei-Ampomah has held senior academic appointments at leading UK institutions, including Cranfield
University, the University of Surrey, Aston University, and the University of Strathclyde. He also brings extensive
board and fiduciary experience, having served as Chairperson of Boards of Trustees of occupational pension and
provident fund schemes.
He has advised governments, financial institutions, regulators, and multinational organisations on corporate
governance, financial strategy, sovereign and operational risk management, and capital markets. He holds a PhD
and MSc in Finance from the University of Strathclyde, a First-Class Honours degree in Computer Science and
Economics from the University of Ghana, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK)
