Daniel Sackey is an accomplished banking executive with a distinguished career in the financial services sector, specializing in strategic leadership, digital transformation, and operational excellence. With over three decades of experience, he has held key board and executive management roles, driving revenue growth, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance. His expertise spans financial performance optimization, risk management, and fostering strategic partnerships to enhance financial inclusion.
He has significant board experience having previously served on the boards of E-process International, EBI SA International, Ecobank Guinea, Ecobank Liberia, Ghana Stock Exchange and Ecobank Affiliates in the SADC region in various capacity as board chairman and member of the finance, audit, technology and risk committees.
As the former Regional Executive for Anglophone West Africa, SADC Cluster Head and Managing Director at Ecobank Ghana, Ecobank Zimbabwe and Ecobank Rwanda, Daniel spearheaded innovative banking solutions, strengthened stakeholder relationships, and positioned the organization as a market leader. Daniel's commitment to regulatory compliance and corporate governance fostered a culture of transparency and accountability across these entities.
Daniel holds an MBA in International Banking and Finance from the University of Birmingham and a BSc in Administration (Accounting Option) from the University of Ghana.
